- You should try (if you haven't already)
-
- SCRIPT = . . . word: $p$r ip is-i
-
- If you put a return in there, it expects something else. -i should be
- all that you need to obtain the address. When you see it in your log, it
- will show up as a bunch of garbage after "Your ip is". Good Luck.

- Subject: SLIP Server with 3rd Party TCP/IP
-
-
- Is is possible to set up a SLIP server on my MS DOS machine
- which is running BW TCP/IP? It uses the same packet drivers
- as Trumpet.
-
- I want to be able to access the net from home via a dialup SLIP on
- this machine at work.
-
- If this is not possible, what is the easiest way to set up a SLIP server
- (that will run in Windows preferably)?
-
- If it is possible, what do I need to do?
-
- Much thanks in advance..

-
- No, I dont think the last is the case:
- i have win32s installed for the same reason (MPEGPLAY)
- and "quick crash" problems with 2.0a3 - after at most few minutes
- of running in the best case it just ... disappears without any
- report. In the worst case after several errors in various modules
- an error in neverending loop (generated
- somwhere in USER.EXE) forces reset.
